I moved to the Emerald Coast with the military in 1991. After retirement, my family made this our permanent home so I am very familiar with this area and its housing market. I work with all types of buyers and sellers to include investors, builders, foreclosures, short sales, and vacation home buyers but I really enjoy first time buyers – I see it as my opportunity to help people understand the buying and selling process. This is why I selected this as my second career. I also find it challenging and rewarding to match each client’s needs with the right property for them. I go above and beyond for each and every client. Quality service is my goal. Repeat business is the result! I would love to help you find your slice of paradise!

Born December 10 1964 in Hampton, Virginia, to Joseph and Rusty Capelotti, Joe began his life as a “military brat” to a very young Airman who had just begun his career in the United States Air Force. Joe had the opportunity to travel as a child to numerous different locations such as Germany, Thailand and Korea. His family settled down in Camp Springs, Maryland and he attended school there and graduated from Crossland Senior High. In order to pursue in his fathers footsteps as a United States Air Force as a non-commissioned officer, he enlisted in July 1983. Joe attended his basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas and his Jet Engine Mechanic Training at Chanute AFB, Illinois and then was assigned to Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina Soon after moving there, met his wife, Lisa Black, in 1984. They were married in 1985 and had their first child, Tyler soon after.

Joe and his family spent some time apart during his career as he received assignments to various parts of the world to include Rhein Main Air Base, Germany and Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq for Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this time apart however they did have the opportunity to increase their family size by adopting a 13 year old girl, Kara and making their family complete.

In 2005 Joe took the steps to set up his 2nd career by obtaining his real estate license and began helping his fellow military counter-parts, friends in purchasing and selling their homes under the brokerage of Coastal Realty Services. Joe's military career came to an honorable close in Aug of 2009 when he officially retired from the USAF after 26 years and later took on a position as the Maintenance Director for the same company and their 600+ rental program.

In 2010, Joe was selected to become the new Director of Property Management and began the task of building a bigger company within the real estate realm and the property management division. He revamped and aided in building the program to a total of 850 doors managed along with a team of 8 people to include his son and daughter as newly licensed and active property managers. Meanwhile, personally, Joe and his wife had taken in their 13 year old niece also since 2015, Summer Black, and are currently navigating the adoption ropes once again.

In 2016 Joe took on the position as Vice President of Sales for the same company and is continuing to help build successful teams and partnerships with other local agents within the community. He volunteers weekly to lead the Ft Walton Beach MLS Tour and has spent the last year working within the Professional Development Committee helping to build “hands-on” training sessions for local Realtors appropriately called WorkShop Wednesdays.

Joe has not let his dedication to the Realtor profession sit idle. He continues working his personal development by completing the 100 series for his GRI and has completed the requirements to carry his SRS designation. He has currently been working diligently with the ECAR Professional Development Committee to lead the development of a course geared towards new agents in helping them move closer to becoming proficient and ensuring their customers confidence in the Realtor community remains high and the new agents success is solidified as much as possible. The YESS (Your ECAR Success Strategy) Designation course is on track to begin in the first quarter of 2021. He also was the Vice Chair of the ECAR Leadership Development Program where he assisted his class in the development of a Scholarship program for new agents that qualify and are selected by a judging panel to become agents in the area. Joe's commitment to ensuring the Realtor Profession as well as his local associations ability to strengthen their community awareness and trust is unsurpassed and on display daily within his Realtor family. His high respect and trust amongst his peers is always evident. This was also highly evident with his selection as Vice President of the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors for calendar year 2021 and onward to President in 2023 as well as his selection for the 2020 Ft Walton Beach Realtor of the Year and 2020 Emerald Coast Association Realtor of the Year awards.

Kelly Goodsell

My name is Kelly Goodsell - Thank you to my husband for the perfect last name! I am one of the lucky ones who was born and raised right here on the Emerald Coast and now my husband and I are raising our two daughters here as well. I received a Bachelors in Business/Management from UWF and before I became a real estate agent I was a recruiter for higher education. I really enjoyed getting to meet new people to help them find their dream jobs. The skills I gained in that position transfer well to my position as a Realtor, I am now searching for homes now instead of jobs! I also enjoy being involved in community events and have organized several local events to raise money for charities like the March of Dimes as well as Toys 4 Tots. It's important to me to stay involved in the community and give back as much as possible. I absolutely love the Emerald Coast area and I'm excited to have the opportunity to help others make a home here too. My passion to become a Realtor began when my husband and I purchased a home and I saw the work that our agent put in to make the process stress free for us (this agent also happens to be part of the Coastal team). Seeing the work he did for us I knew right away... I want to do that, I want to be a Realtor, I want to help people find the place they will call home. So a short while later and after a lot of studying and researching, here I am! I enjoy working with the Coastal Realty team and can truly say that we are just that, a team. In every transaction I have a team of people with me to be sure each person I work with is getting the very best service. I look forward to continuing to build trusting relationships with my customers and helping them find the right home for them!

I first came to the emerald coast 24 years ago with the Air Force. Although I have traveled and lived in many places around the world, my heart never really left. My wife and I decided to settle down in Navarre after I retired. I have two children and am an active member in my community. I recall what it felt like during my first home purchase, knowing so little and feeling like I was being taken for a ride. So I promised myself to learn everything I could about real estate so as to never experience that feeling again. I want to ensure you have those same tools before going to the table and to make sure your home buying or selling experience goes as smooth as possible knowing you have someone knowledgeable you can trust at your side.

I was born and raised in a small town in Southwest Louisiana. It is the kind of town where, as a child, if you got in trouble, the news would get to your momma faster than the time it took you to ride your bike home. I am known to my friends as “Cajun Patty", and I love crawfish and have been known to eat ten pounds of crawfish all by myself. I served in the Marines and was a military spouse for 23 years. I spent most of my life moving across the country from one coast to the other until making my final home in the panhandle area. I have four grown children and enjoy spending time with them. I am blessed to be a Nae Nae to my three grand babies and enjoy spoiling them. I am also a mom of a soldier who is currently serving in the Army and a wife of a retired Alabama state police investigator. I have six years of experience as a real estate closer working for a local title insurance company and understand the real estate closing process from the beginning to the end from the agent, customer, and title company perspective. I also have over thirty years’ experience as a paralegal, so I am organized, detail oriented, used to working with strict deadlines, and familiar with the Florida laws, and preparing legal documents. I am a certified Military Relocation Professional, Florida Military Specialist, and Seller Representative Specialist. When I'm not assisting my customers with buying and selling homes, I spend my weekends floating on the boat with my husband and attending our local church. I am a crafter and enjoy making seashell art and reborn dolls for the elderly suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s. I also enjoy deer hunting in Alabama any chance I get during the winter months.

Born in Cuba, I embarked on a transformative journey when I arrived in the United States in 2008. Like many immigrants, I faced a multitude of challenges that tested my resilience and determination. One of the initial hurdles was mastering the English language, a critical skill for integration into American society.

My commitment to this adopted homeland led me to serve in the U.S. Army, where I not only defended my new home but also gained invaluable experiences and skills. This period of service instilled in me a profound sense of duty and patriotism.

My journey continued as I moved from the vibrant streets of Miami to the picturesque landscapes of Colorado, where I began to forge my American dream. Today, I call Niceville home, appreciating the diverse and welcoming community that has embraced me.

My dedication to the security and well-being of this nation is reflected in my academic pursuits. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, a field that aligns with my passion for safeguarding the country’s interests. Currently, I am diligently working towards a master’s degree in Human Resources, driven by the belief that effective HR management plays a crucial role in any organization’s success.

My journey from Cuba to the United States is a testament to the resilience of immigrants and the opportunities this great nation offers. I look forward to continuing to contribute positively to both my community and my adopted homeland.
